The Role: AI Engineer
We’re looking for a passionate and technically brilliant AI Engineer to join our growing product and innovation team in the heart of Dublin City Centre. You’ll be instrumental in developing, deploying, and scaling cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions that directly impact our core product line.
This is a hands-on role combining the skills of a Data Scientist, an ML Engineer, and a Software Engineer. You’ll move beyond pure experimentation to ensure our models are robust, scalable, and fully integrated into our production environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Model Productionisation: Design, build, and maintain robust MLOps pipelines for the continuous deployment, monitoring, and retraining of AI/ML models in a production environment.
- Solution Development: Engineer, train, and fine-tune various machine learning and deep learning models (including LLMs and Generative AI techniques) to solve complex business challenges.
- Infrastructure: Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineering teams to establish and optimise scalable cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS/Azure) for AI model serving.
- Code Quality: Write clean, high-performance, and well-documented code, primarily in Python.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists to transition prototypes into production-ready solutions and partner with Software Engineers for seamless application integration.
- Research & Optimisation: Research and implement performance optimisation techniques, including model compression and latency reduction for high-throughput systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with software development best practices.
- Proven experience with core ML/Deep Learning frameworks
- Solid understanding of MLOps principles and experience with relevant tools
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- A strong foundation in linear algebra, statistics, and machine learning fundamentals.
